Working machine hitch and sensor safety arrangement

Working machine comprising a hitch arrangement 10 attached to a working arm 9. One or more sensors / detectors 14 are configured to determine an orientation of a working implement / tool 11 secured to the hitch arrangement. Sensors 14 output a signal indicative of the orientation of the tool 11 with respect to gravity. A control module is configured to receive a signal from the sensor/s and perform a safety function if the tool is in an unpermitted orientation. The working machine may include a boom, a dipper arm having a sensor 14 to detect the position of the hitch and another detecting the orientation of the arm and boom. The safety function can include a visual and/or audio output to a user. The safety function can prevent a user from operating an opening mechanism of the hitch. The sensors may include tilt switches and/or absolute encoders.
