PROPULSION APPARATUS FOR SHIP AND SHIP INCLUDING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A propulsion device and a ship with the same are provided to make thrust with rest one when either an electricity supplying part or a power part is malfunctioned because the electricity supplying part and the power part are separately existed. CONSTITUTION: A propulsion device for a ship comprises a power part(110), a main shaft(120), a hollow shaft, a driving motor(140), and an electrical supplying part. The power part provides power for rotating a rear propeller. The main shaft delivers the power provided from the power part to the rear propeller. The hollow shaft is extended in a longitudinal direction of the main shaft and is coupled to a front propeller. The driving motor comprises a rotor and a stator. The rotor is coupled to the outer peripheral of the hollow shaft. The stator is supported in the hull. The driving motor rotates the hollow shaft in the opposite direction of the main shaft. The electrical supplying part supplies electricity to the driving motor.
