MULTI-LEVEL INVERTER WITH HALF BRIDGE INVERTER MODULES

PURPOSE: A multi-level inverter with a half bridge inverter module is provided to generate a voltage of a stair wave form which is close to a pure sine wave output voltage. CONSTITUTION: A first 3-level half bridge inverter module(110) includes 4 power semiconductor switches(S11-S14). The 4 power semiconductor switches are serially connected each other. An anode terminal of a diode(D11) and a cathode terminal of a diode(D12) are connected each other. A second 3-level half bridge inverter module(120) includes 4 power semiconductor switches(S21-S24). A third 3-level half bridge inverter module(130) includes 4 power semiconductor switches(S31-S34).
