The method involves feeding the print materials (11-22) on platen in pressure table (10) having digital printing unit. The position of print material on platen is detected by a camera (24). The printed image produced by digital printing unit is aligned on print material based on detected position of print material. An actuating unit is equipped for providing low pressure on surface of pressure support based on detected position of print material. An independent claim is included for device for printing print material.
