DATA UPDATE METHOD BASED ON A FIRMWARE ON THE AIR AND PORTABLE DEVICE SUPPORTING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A data updating method and a portable terminal supporting the same are provided to stably update various data based on FOTA by properly upgrading boot related data. CONSTITUTION: A first memory(300) includes a free boot loading area, a boot loader loading area, and a FOTA engine loading area. A second memory(200) includes a first boot loader file area, a second boot loader file area, and a FOTA engine file area. A control unit(160) loads a recent version boot loader file in the boot loader loading area according to a boot related data update request. The control unit updates the boot loader area in which the boot loader file is stored according to FOTA engine driving.
