When a user actuates a management device 106, and causes one or more RAID groups and a spare HDD for each of these RAID groups to be set within the storage control apparatus 100, an MPU 140 of the storage control apparatus 100 controls the management device 106 to make the user set each RAID group and the spare HDD for it within the same additional storage unit 150.
