PURPOSE: A knee bolster for vehicles is provided to prevent passengers from becoming injured by buffering shocks given to the knee. CONSTITUTION: A knee bolster for vehicles comprises a glove box(120), an air bag cushion(140), and an inflator(150). The glove box is rotated around a hinge(121) at a lower part of the a crush pad. The air bag cushion is installed at the rear part of the glove box. The air bag cushion pushes the back side of the glove box, and the glove box is rotated when expansion gas is injected into the air bag cushion. The inflator generates the expansion gas according to a control signal from an ECU(Electronic Control Unit).
