PURPOSE: A Korean mixing character searching method and a portable terminal for searching for a Korean mixing character are provided to rapidly search for a Korean mixing character based on a standard Unicode. CONSTITUTION: A data converting unit converts a search word into a number(S210). A search processing unit reads out data stored in a search target data storage unit(S230). The data converting unit converts the data into a number(S240). The search processing unit determines data matched with converted number as searched data(S250-S270).
