PURPOSE: An edge type backlight unit without a light guide plate and a display device thereof are provided to freely adjust waveguide of light and uniformity of emitted light by a micro optical sheet without using a light guide plate for guiding light in a side light irradiating display. CONSTITUTION: An upper optical sheet(130) provides light to a display panel. A lower optical sheet(140) is separated from the upper optical sheet. A scattered reflection pattern is formed on the frontal side of the lower optical sheet. A reflection sheet is formed on a rear side of the lower optical sheet. The reflection sheet reflects light, which is leaked from the lower optical sheet, to a light emitting side. |
