PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device with an embedded touch sensor and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to form a light shielding film and a touch signal line on an existing black matrix location, thereby increasing transmittance. CONSTITUTION: An upper substrate faces a lower substrate wherein a liquid crystal layer is formed between the upper and lower substrates. A first touch signal line(22) is formed on a location on a side of the upper substrate corresponding to a gate line. A second touch signal line(24) is formed on a location on a side of the upper substrate corresponding to a data line. The second touch signal line crosses the first touch signal line. A color filter corresponds to a pixel area on an area which is partitioned by the first and second touch signal lines.
