The method involves receiving synchronization signal by stereoscopic shutter glasses having liquid crystal shutters (601, 602) that are provided with filter analyzers and covered with quarter-wave plates. A set of axes of the plates of the shutters is provided perpendicular to each other. Each filter analyzer is allowed to block a sub-sequence having the quarter-wave plates, and transmit other sub-sequence having the quarter-wave plates. The synchronization signal is transmitted in the form of electromagnetic wave. The liquid crystal is an electrically controlled birefringence, super twisted nematic or twisted nematic type liquid crystal. An independent claim is also included for a stereoscopic display system.
