<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently transmit load to a front pillar upper from a wheel house upper member while minimizing the increase of vehicle body weight. <P>SOLUTION: The wheel house upper member 12 includes a rear-upward extended first frame part 33b, and a second frame part 34 extended substantially horizontally rearward from the connection part b of a front end of the first frame part 33b. The front pillar upper 13 includes a pillar frame part 31 front-downward extended from a roof, and a pillar panel part 32 downward extended from the pillar frame part 31. By linearly connecting the rear end of the first frame part 33b to the front end of the pillar frame part 31 at a connection part (a), and by configuring a triangle in side view by connecting the rear end of the second frame part 34 to the lower part of the pillar panel part 32, the impact load in case of front face collision can be transmitted directly to the pillar frame part 31 of the front pillar 13 from the first frame part 33b, thus dispensing with application of special reinforcement to the connection part (a), to thereby minimize the increase of the vehicle weight. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
