The device has two-dimensional detection element (100) including primary pixel elements (101) to detect a portion of electromagnetic radiation, and secondary pixel elements (102) to detect remaining portion of electromagnetic radiation. A band pass filter (103) performs spectral filtering of portion of electromagnetic radiation. The detection of portion of electromagnetic radiation is performed by spectral filtering of electromagnetic radiation, and the detection of remaining portion of electromagnetic radiation is performed without spectral filtering of electromagnetic radiation. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) spectrometer; (2) measurement device for spectral solvent of electromagnetic radiation; and (3) method for spectral solvent measurement of electromagnetic radiation.
