The trolley runs on four wheels mounted on castors. The castors (3a) at the rear end of the trolley may be locked with the wheels lying parallel to the longitudinal axis of the trolley. The castors at the front end may swivel freely. The lockable castor arrangement has two rows of ball bearings (11,12) accommodated in races. The swivelling blocking device (16) may be arranged to allow the castor to swing freely through a limited arc.
