<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine cooling system that makes acceleration of warming-up in the cold state compatible with a countermeasure against heat damage during high-load operation by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: The engine cooling system includes: a bypass passage 17 for internally circulating cooling water in a water jacket 8; an auxiliary passage 20 that communicates between the upstream side and the downstream side of a water pump 10 and circulates cooling water supplied to auxiliary machines; an electromagnetic valve 19 for opening/closing the bypass passage 17; and a thermoelectric element 32 that generates an electric current I according to a temperature difference in cooling water temperature between the water jacket 8 side and the auxiliary passage 20 side. An ECU 30 is configured to basically control the electromagnetic valve 19 to be closed in the cold state of an engine body 5 and to control the electromagnetic valve 19 to be opened when the electric current I exceeds the set threshold Ith1 even in the cold state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
