An oscillator (100) is provided with: a piezoelectric element (70) having a plurality of protrusions (72) on a first surface thereof; a plurality of electrodes (80) provided separate from one another on the plurality of protrusions (72); and a plurality of electrodes (82) provided to the surface on the opposite side to the first surface of the piezoelectric element (70) in such a manner that each electrode (82) only faces a single electrode (80). As a consequence, it is possible to minimize variation in acoustic properties. It is therefore possible to provide an oscillator with which it is possible to improve acoustic properties of electronic devices.
