The generator (4) has a vane wheel (6) and a generating unit (8), where the vane wheel is arranged in a gas stream path. The vane wheel stands in effective connection with the generating unit in such a manner that the generating unit is driven by the vane wheel using the kinetic energy of gas i.e. air, so that electrical energy is generated at the generating unit. The gas flows along the gas stream path, and a valve (10) is arranged in the gas stream path. An internal combustion engine (22) is arranged in the gas stream path and cooled by the gas flowing along the gas stream path.
