<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoreceptor, and an image forming apparatus and an image forming method employing a contact charging system, which can solve problems associated with repeated use in the image forming method employing the contact charging system, that is, to improve wear resistance characteristics, to avoid generation of a dash mark, generation of a transfer void, or the like, to prevent degradation in electrophotographic characteristics (such as increase in a residual potential or generation of an image memory phenomenon), and to stably carry out formation of a favorable electrophotographic image for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The organic photoreceptor includes a photosensitive layer and a protective layer on a conductive support.
