<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device that can restrain a semiconductor light-emitting device from electrically short-circuiting to stop emission, and can emit light for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The lighting device 1 includes a case 2 having a pair of support parts 2a, a semiconductor light-emitting device 3 fitted inside the case 2, and a translucent substrate 4 supported by the pair of support parts 2a for covering the semiconductor light-emitting device 3 with an interval against the same 3. A concave part each C is fitted to a lower part of each of the pair of support parts 2a inside the case 2, with an interval from the semiconductor light-emitting device 3.
