<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewing machine that can detect a fault in sewing at an early stage without causing upsizing of a sewing machine bed. <P>SOLUTION: The sewing machine 1 is provided with a sewing machine bed 2 for placing a processed fabric thereon, a fabric feeding mechanism that is provided in the sewing machine bed 2 and for moving the processed fabric in a prescribed feed direction, first imaging means that is provided in the sewing machine bed 2 and for imaging a first area of the lower surface of the processed fabric, second imaging means for imaging a second area of the lower surface of the processed fabric that is different from the first area.
