The present invention relates to a novel use of a psoraleae semen extract, and more specifically, to a composition for lung cancer treatment and a composition for cosmetics containing, as an active ingredient, a psoraleae semen extract having excellent preventative and treatment effects on lung cancer. The psoraleae semen extract, according to the present invention, suppresses growth of and induces apoptosis of lung cancer cells, and therefore can be used effectively for lung cancer treatment and prevention.
