<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED lighting device capable of obtaining light output equivalent to a case of lighting up with DC smooth voltage while reducing high harmonic components of input current. <P>SOLUTION: An LED lighting device comprises: a full-wave rectifier DB for performing full-wave rectification of a commercial AC power source Vs; a first capacitor C1 connected in parallel to an output terminal of the full-wave rectifier DB; a switching power source circuit 1 whose input terminal is connected in parallel to the first capacitor C1; an LED light-emitting section 2 connected to an output terminal of the switching power source circuit 1; and a second capacitor C2 connected in parallel to the LED light-emitting section 2. The switching power source circuit 1 operates in discontinuous mode, capacitance of the first capacitor C1 is less than 1μF, and the second capacitor C2 is set to have capacitance with which a ripple factor of current flowing in the LED light-emitting section 2 becomes less than one. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
