PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fireproof building material which has excellent fire resistance efficiency, and prevents the easy occurrence of damage, fracture and burning, such as the deformation and melting of an aluminum material of a frame and the melting of a filler, due to heat conduction from steel plates on both a surface and a backside in case of fire. SOLUTION: In a fireproof panel P for a prefabricated building, structure or the like, the steel plates 1a and 1b are provided in a tensioned state on both the surface and backside of the frame 2, for example, in a rectangular shape, which is formed of an aluminum frame material 2a; the filler 11 such as a rigid urethane foam is injected and solidified into a hollow part which is enclosed with the steel plates 1a and 1b on both the surface and backside of the frame 2; a fireproof board 3 is interposed between the sides of inner surfaces of the steel plates 1a and 1b; the steel plates 1a and 1b are provided in the tensioned state in the frame 2 and fixedly attached to the frame 2; in this case, peripheral edges 1c of four sides thereof are folded at two right angles; and the steel plates 1a and 1b are provided by being fixed to the frame 2 in a state in which peripheral edges of the fireproof boards 3 or slender fireproof plates 4 are interposed between the peripheral edges 1c of the four sides and the frame 2, that is, a state in which the steel plates 1a and 1b are not brought into direct contact with the frame 2.
