The invention relates to a floating support for installing a wind turbine in a body of water (M). The invention comprises: an elongate lower body (1) which serves as a ballast, includes a first end portion (1a) and a second end portion (1b), and has an asymmetrical longitudinal section, the center of gravity of which is shifted towards the second end portion (1b); an upper body (2), to which the lower body is connected, serving as a float on which a wind turbine tower (3) can be mounted; and anchoring means (6, 7, 8) for anchoring the lower body (1) to the bottom of the body of water (M). According to the invention, the upper body (2) is vertically mounted in a mounting position close to the second end portion (1b), such that the lower body (1) has a main arm (1c) that extends the length of a longitudinal axis (EL) between the mounting position and the first end portion (1a) of the lower body (1), and has an axial axis (EA) that extends axially through the wind turbine tower (3). Moreover, the axial axis (EA) of the upper body (2) and the longitudinal axis (EL) of the main arm (1c) form an angle (a) of 90 ± 10°. In addition, the first end portion (1a) includes a mooring device (6) for mooring at least one mooring cable (7) that can be attached in a non-tensioned manner to a stationary anchor (8) on the bottom (F) of the body of water (M), allowing the support to orient itself towards the wind. |
