摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of changing inductance components of winding sections of each phase without causing discontinuous torque fluctuation. <P>SOLUTION: An SR motor has coils wound around at each salient pole of a stator. Coil groups, which are constituted by a single coil or by connecting multiple coils in series or parallel, constitute winding sections of each phase by further being connected with one another electrically and mechanically. When an ECU determines that a change of an inductance component of a winding section is needed (S101), it determines whether a current flows through the winding section or not (S102). When there is no flowing current through the winding section and a time until a current flows into the winding section is longer compared to the time for changing the inductance component of the winding section (S103), the ECU changes the inductance component of the winding sections (S104).
