<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for fixing a stator that allows the stator to be fixed in a short time while having a simple configuration, and to provide a drive device. <P>SOLUTION: A drive device includes: a stator 13; a housing 3 that has a cylindrical portion 11 that houses the stator 13; a cover 5 that is connected to the housing 3 and closes an upper opening of the cylindrical portion 11; and a bent wire 51 that includes a wire, is provided between an upper surface of the stator 13 and a back surface of the cover 5 in a state of being compressed and deformed in a direction of an axis of the stator 13, and presses the stator 13 against the cylindrical portion 11. The bent wire 51 is approximately in the shape of a ring that is partially open as viewed from the direction of the axis. The bent wire 51 has a series of alternating crests and troughs formed therein. The crests are in contact with the back surface of the cover 5, and the troughs are in contact with the upper surface of the stator 13. Elastic force of the bent wire 51 applies downward force to the stator 13 in the direction of the axis.
