<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform rapid focus adjustment without decreasing photographing image quality. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device includes focusing means for performing focus adjustment by moving a focusing lens group of an imaging optical system in an optical axis direction based on contrast of a subject image according to output of an imaging element. In the imaging device, the imaging element includes a plurality of microlenses corresponding to respective pixels, respective positions of the microlenses are different in the optical axis direction, a plurality of imaging surfaces are formed at the respective positions different in the optical axis direction, and the focusing means determines a moving direction of the focusing lens group where a contrast value becomes high based on respective electric signals corresponding to the plurality of imaging surfaces of the imaging element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
