<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manual valve of a simple structure configured to prevent a valve seat from being damaged due to rotation of a knob. <P>SOLUTION: A circular concave groove 86 with an O-ring 87 is formed on the top surface of a rod guide 81. The lower surface of a stopper ring 58 is brought into contact with the top surface of the O-ring 87 as a rod 50 moves downward. When a knob 10 is further rotated, resisting force is generated by deformation of a valve body 63, and the O-ring 87 comes in contact with a side wall of the concave groove 86 and is elastically deformed to be filled in the concave groove 86, so that an operator suddenly feels stiffness in operating the knob 10.
