The control unit has a circuit board for accommodating electrical and/or electronic parts. Valve coils are provided with valve coil yokes (1) i.e. pot type yokes, where the coils and the yokes have a non-circular cross-sectional area e.g. hexagonal cross-sectional area. The valve coils control the pressure and the dosage of hydraulic fluid in a brake system. The valve coils are provided with valve coil windings that have a circular cross-sectional area. The valve coil yokes include multi-fold rotational symmetry with respect to a vertical axis. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a valve coil.
