<p>A sublimation purifying method for a host material for forming a light-emitting layer of an organic electroluminescent element, which provides a host material containing less halogen impurities with high yield, said host material being capable of providing an organic electroluminescent element having more excellent durability. This sublimation purifying method for a host material comprises a step wherein a host material, which contains impurities including at least one halogen element that is selected from the group consisting of fluorine, chlorine, bromine and iodine, is purified by sublimation by being mixed with a non-alkaline inorganic adsorptive material and an alkaline inorganic adsorptive material that is selected from the group consisting of oxides of the group 2 elements and carbonates of the group 2 elements.</p> |
