<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a duplex printing method that prevents the lowering of throughput caused by flushing and accurately performs the alignment of duplex printing. <P>SOLUTION: In the duplex printing method for performing printing on both sides of recording paper 4 using a print head configured of a line inkjet head, the flushing is carried out on a part continuing to a rear end of a printed part of front-face print data to from a flushing mark C for alignment in a front-face printing step of printing the front-face print data to a front face 4c of the recording paper 4. In a rear-face printing step of printing rear-face print data to a rear face 4d of the recording paper 4, a rear-face print position is determined based on a position of the flushing mark C.
