VEHICLE SITUATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND VEHICLE SITUATION MANAGEMENT METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow an abnormality of a vehicle situation to be reliably and rapidly grasped even at a reduced cost.

SOLUTION: An on-vehicle unit 12 comprises: a situation detection part 14; an imaging part 26; a system memory 30 for storing a correspondence relation between sensors 16 to 24 and cameras 26A to 26D2 with respect to a record event indicating an abnormality of the situation of a vehicle BS; a second image memory part 34 for storing images captured by one or more cameras; a CPU part 28 for performing specification of occurrence time of the record event and discrimination of the type of the record event, and storing images captured for a time over before and after the occurrence of the record event in the second image memory part 34; and a mobile body communication module 36 enabling transmission of the record event and access to the second image memory part 34 by means of a portable telephone line 38. A management unit 40 performs reception and confirmation of the record event and has a PC 44 which can confirm the images stored in the second image memory part 34.
