<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic photoelectric conversion element which has an active layer of a large film thickness and has high photoelectric conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The organic photoelectric conversion element includes a pair of electrodes and the active layer provided between the pair of electrodes. One of the electrodes includes a structure in which a layer made of an alkaline earth metal and a layer made of lithium fluoride are laminated.
