<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that prevents toner from flowing reversely from the inside of a developing chamber to a toner supply part, and supplies the toner smoothly from the toner supply part to the inside of the developing chamber in response to reduction of the toner in the developing chamber. <P>SOLUTION: The developing chamber has a toner receiving hole. The toner supply part faces the toner receiving hole and has a toner discharge hole 300 arranged above the toner receiving hole for discharging the toner from the toner supply part. The toner discharge hole 300 includes: a pair of sheet members 311 are formed which sag under the weight the toner toward the developing chamber; and a reverse flow preventing member 310 that closes the toner discharge hole to prevent the toner from flowing reversely from the developing chamber to the toner supply part, when the amount of toner remaining in the toner supply part decreases below a predetermined amount. One end of the sheet members 311 forms a fixed end 313.
