The purpose is to provide an optical component capable of efficiently absorbing excited light using an amplifying optical fiber and via a simple configuration, an optical fiber amplifier using the optical component, and a fiber laser device. An optical component (51) is characterized by being provided with: an amplifying optical fiber (30) having a core (31) to which an active element is added, and a cladding (32) for propagating excited light that excites the active element; and an optical coupling part (61) in which a plurality of non-continuous cladding sections (32a, 32b) along the lengthwise direction of the amplifying optical fiber (30) are integrated in the lengthwise direction so as to be optically connected to one another.
