<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To have a sinking comb breakage detection device for a passenger conveyor which can surely detect breakage of a sinking comb. <P>SOLUTION: The sinking comb breakage detection device circularly runs through a pair of platforms 2 and detects breakage of a sinking comb 22 of the passenger conveyor comprising: a step 11 having a tread 11A and a comb 20 having the end part of a floor member 15 constituting the floor of each of the platforms 2 and the sinking comb 22 engageable with the tread 11A and also includes: a conductive member 31 provided inside the sinking comb 22, less harder than the sinking comb 22; a power source energizing the conductivity member 31; and a breakage detection means that detects the breakage of the sinking comb 22 based on the change of the energization status of the conductive member 31. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
