The present invention pertains to a method for producing a positive electrode active material for a secondary battery. There have been problems with the methods for producing lithium iron phosphate, which is a positive electrode active material for secondary batteries, of the prior art, such as poor productivity due to synthesis being performed in a pressure-resistant vessel, the occurrence of surfaces that are not covered by carbon due to a pulverization step, and the inability to uniformly cover organic compounds subjected to uniaxial pressure forming after the organic compounds have been simply mixed. The present invention involves a production method in which a melting step (I), a cooling step (II), a pulverization step (III), and a heating step (IV) are carried out in that order when producing the positive electrode active material for the secondary battery, thereby increasing the electrical conductivity of the positive electrode active material for the secondary battery, and providing good control of composition and particle size. |
