<p>The present invention is an authentication device which has a prism of approximately square frustum shape, wherein the prism of approximately square frustum shape is disposed so that the side of the bottom surface among the parallel two surfaces of the approximately square frustum shape becomes a placing surface side for a finger. This authentication device has: first image capture means which is disposed below a top surface which is parallel to the bottom surface and which captures an image of a finger, which has been transmitted through the upper surface; light sources which emit light to at least one side surface of a first set of side surfaces among two opposed sets of side surfaces of the approximately square frustum shape; and second image capture means which captures an image of a finger, which has been transmitted through a second set of side surfaces among the two sets of side surfaces.</p> |
