BAND CLIP FOR WIRE HARNESS

A band clip for a wire harness has an increased holding force. A clip is configured in such a manner that a pair of wing sections is provided on a bridge section for connecting the protrusion ends of a pair of support sections protruding from a wire harness mounting section to which a fastening band is provided, the pair of wing sections being provided on both sides of the bridge section in the width direction so as to be displaced in the longitudinal direction and so as to protrude in a folded shape toward the base of the wire harness mounting section, that engagement claws are respectively provided to the outer surfaces of the wing sections, and that the engagement claws are adapted to be engaged with the peripheral edge of an oval mounting hole in a vehicle body. An inner reinforcement section and an outer reinforcement section are provided to each of the wing sections so as to protrude from both the side ends of the wing section in the longitudinal direction toward the center in the width direction to provide the wing section with a squared C cross-sectional shape. The protruding portions of the adjacent inner reinforcement sections of the pair of wing sections are overlapped with each other. The outer reinforcement sections are provided while gaps are provided between the outer reinforcement sections and the inner surfaces of the support sections. When the wing sections fall over in the major axis direction, the outer reinforcement section of the wing section located on the side in which the wing sections fall over is pressed against the facing support section, and the inner reinforcement sections are in contact with each other to prevent the wing section on the side opposite the falling direction from falling over.
