<p>The present invention relates to a crucible that can be used for solidifying a silicon ingot from molten silicon, characterized in that same is at least partially coated on the inner surface thereof with at least one layer consisting of a material produced by thermal decomposition of polysilizane(s), said layer having a shear strength greater than 1 Pa and no higher than 500 MPa, and being in the form of a stack of adjoining layers of non-contiguous tiles.
