A machine tool/robot (10) of the present invention comprises a base (11) fixed to an outside fixed portion (50, Fig 1), a travelling plate (12) to which a tool (T) is to be attached, plural guide portions (14, 20) radially outwardly fixed to the base at a predetermined angle, and plural rods (15). Each of the plural guide portions is provided with a slide table (26) movable in a longitudinal direction of the guide portion and an actuator (25) for moving the slide table. One ends of the rods (15) are connected with the corresponding slide tables (26) through first joint means (16), and the other ends of the rods are connected to the travelling plate (12) through second joint means (17). The rods (15) can be individually controlled (as shown) or moved in pairs (Fig. 3). Preferably the joints are universal joints. <IMAGE> |
