The installation (1) has a photovoltaic solar panel (3) for generating electricity from renewable energy, and a hydrogen production unit comprising a compressor (10) for injecting hydrogen provided by an electrolyzer (4) into a tank (8). The production unit provides electricity to an electricity consuming unit i.e. individual house (2). A central derivation unit (6) is connected to an output of the production unit, and directs a portion of the electricity toward the electrolyzer when a power produced by the panel exceeds needs of the consuming unit.
