The guitar or stringed instrument comprises a detachable neck (1), which is engaged into a milling groove (15) on the corpus (2) and is connected with the corpus by a detachable connection element (3) in a position parallel to a corpus surface (22). A plate element (4) is provided at a connection surface (6,7) between the neck and the corpus. The plate element is positively connected with the neck and has a threaded hole (11) for receiving the connection element. A projecting part (9) of the plate element passes through a slot (14) in the milling groove on the corpus.
