The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for aquatic exercise, that comprises a base (3) adapted to be held particularly with a foot or a hand, and a sail (5) connected to the base and capable of deformation under the action of the water pressure applied during the movement of the apparatus. The sail includes a flexible skirt (7) and rigid fins (9), the corolla-shaped skirt having an inner peripheral edge (11) and an outer peripheral edge (13). The inner peripheral edge (11) is connected to an outer peripheral edge (15) provided on the base (3). The fins (9) are radially distributed around the skirt, the inner edges (17) of the fins (9) being distant from the inner peripheral edge (11) of the skirt. The base (3) includes an abutment means (19) distributed along the outer peripheral edge (15) thereof and arranged so as to bear against the upper face (21) of the fins (9). The invention also relates to a kit for aquatic exercise, that comprises a bearing of the shoe type and an apparatus (1).
