<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation device capable of performing guidance on a guide route in an understandable manner even if there is a confusing road other than the guide route near a point of a guidance object. <P>SOLUTION: The navigation device comprises: a feature pattern storage section 4 that stores features of an image of a predetermined object as a feature pattern; an image processing section 3 that extracts a feature image corresponding to the feature pattern stored in the feature pattern storage section 4 from an image obtained by capturing a point of a guidance object; a guidance data generation section 5 that extracts the feature image showing a difference between an exit route and a non-target road at the point of the guidance object from the feature image extracted by the image processing section 3 and the feature image of the non-target road to generate guidance data including the difference between the exit road and the non-target road regarding the presence or absence of the object indicated by the feature image; a guidance text generation section 7 that generates guidance text data including the difference between the exit route and the non-target road by using the guidance data generated in the guidance data generation section 5; and a voice output section 8 that outputs guidance voice for route guidance by using the guidance text data generated in the guidance text data generation section 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
