<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that has a smaller ripple of fixing temperature relative to target control temperature, suppresses flicker phenomenon, and prevents drop of fixing temperature, and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the case where soft start for gradually heating a fixing heater 25 and/or soft stop for gradually cooling the fixing heater 25 are performed, the fixing heater 25 is driven in a lighting duty to which a correction duty is added so that a value obtained by dividing the integrated value of energization time during control period by the control period equals a lighting duty calculated by a PID controller 51 based on the temperature detected by temperature detection means 40. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
