<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve sealing property of a furnace cover part by a simple low-cost means when the carbonization chamber of a coke oven is made empty. <P>SOLUTION: A first heat insulating material 11 is disposed between a furnace cover refractory 8 inserted into the opening of the carbonization chamber 2 and a furnace cover frame 3 fixed around the opening of the carbonization chamber 2, and a second heat insulating material 12 is disposed at the joint of a knife edge 9 attached to a furnace cover body 4 and the furnace cover frame, whereby the sealing property of the coke oven can be improved by a short-term simple operation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
