<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus whose depth and height dimension can be minimized in a state where paper feeding capacity held in a paper feeding cassette is maintained, while securing capability of coping with a wide range of sheet types such as a postcard and cardboard including paper, with inexpensive constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the paper feeding cassette 3; an upper paper feeding roller 6 feeding the uppermost paper 5; an upper separation member 10; a lower paper feeding roller 7 feeding the lowermost paper 5; a lower separation roll 11; a pressure means (paper feeding switching mechanism 50) selectively pressuring the uppermost paper 5 to abut on the upper paper feeding roller 6 or the lowermost paper 5 to abut on the lower paper feeding roller 7; a recording head 31; a turn conveyance path 12; and a turn conveyance path 13, wherein the paper feeding cassette 3 is arranged below the recording head 31, and the turn conveyance path 12 or the turn conveyance path 13 is used by making the uppermost paper 5 abut on the upper paper feeding roller 6 or the lowermost paper 5 abut on the lower paper feeding roller 7 by selective pressuring by the pressure means (paper feeding switching mechanism 50). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
