The present invention relates to the field of mobile terminals and disclosed are a multi-card mobile terminal and a method thereof for transferring SIM card data. In the present invention, by way of comparing a mobile country code and a mobile network code which are read from an auxiliary SIM card with the data in a preset white list in a mobile terminal, when the auxiliary SIM card is locked, short message data are copied from the auxiliary SIM card and stored in a short message function module of the present mobile terminal, and it is marked that the short message data comes from the auxiliary SIM card. In the situation where the main SIM card is unlocked and the auxiliary SIM card is locked, the data in the auxiliary SIM card can be transferred out so that the main SIM card can use some of the data; and as the main SIM card SIMLOCKs the auxiliary SIM card, the short message data and sender data in the auxiliary SIM card are transferred to the mobile phone so that the main SIM card can use the same. By way of the present invention, a new user from an external network can accomplish switching of services under the condition of basically not influencing the use; and convenience can be brought to the user. |
