<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a field-emission light-emitting apparatus emitting light uniformly. <P>SOLUTION: In the field-emission light-emitting apparatus, a cathode 1A and an electron-emitting material layer 1B are disposed on the side of a cathode substrate 3 facing an anode substrate 4; at least a portion of the periphery of the cathode 1A is covered with the electron-emitting material layer 1B; an anode 2A and a phosphor layer 2B are disposed on the side of the anode substrate 4 facing the cathode substrate 3; the phosphor layer 2B is disposed in at least one of a region which is on the surface of the anode 2A closer to the cathode 1A and inside the periphery of the anode 2A in a view from the direction perpendicular to the anode substrate plane, and a region between the anode 2A and the anode substrate 4; the electron-emitting material layer 1B and the periphery of the cathode 1A covered therewith are disposed inside the phosphor layer 2B in a view from the direction perpendicular to the anode substrate plane; and no gate electrode is provided on the cathode substrate 3 and the anode substrate 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
